Frequently Asked Questions | Bare Daily
We know that choosing what goes on your skin is a deeply personal decision. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often about Bare Daily, our ingredients, and our approach to skincare.
What makes Bare Daily different from other goat milk skincare brands?
Bare Daily was born from a personal need, not a market opportunity. Our founder originally created these formulas for family members with dry, sensitive skin, and that same care goes into every batch we make today. Each bar is handcrafted, measured, poured, and cured with patience. We use a palm-free, synthetic-fragrance-free approach, relying only on botanically derived aromatics and purposefully selected oils. Nothing unnecessary goes in; nothing important gets left out.
Why is goat milk so good for sensitive, dry, or mature skin?
Goat milk shares the same pH as human skin, which means it works with your skin rather than against it. It's rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, and E, along with zinc, selenium, proteins, and fatty acids that nourish and help repair skin cells. Goat milk also contains naturally occurring lactic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that gently dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells for mild exfoliation without harsh scrubbing. Combined with the natural glycerin retained through our cold-process method, the result is a bar that cleanses and moisturizes in one step.
Why are your products palm-free and free of synthetic fragrance?
Palm oil is cheap and widely used in commercial soaps, but its production has driven significant deforestation and environmental harm. We chose to formulate without it from the start, using coconut, olive, avocado, and castor oils instead. Synthetic fragrances are one of the leading causes of skin irritation and allergic reactions, so we scent our products only with essential oils and botanical aromatics. For us, leaving things out is just as intentional as what we put in.
Do you offer products for men, or is Bare Daily primarily for women?
Bare Daily serves both. We have dedicated lines for women's bath and body care as well as men's grooming and shaving. Our goat milk bars work beautifully as a shaving cream alternative, and our formulas are designed around skin needs rather than gender. If your skin is dry, sensitive, or simply deserving of better ingredients, our products were made with you in mind.
How long does a Bare Daily soap bar last, and how should I store it?
With daily use, a handcrafted bar typically lasts four to five weeks. The key to getting the most from it is proper drainage between uses: keep your bar on a well-draining soap dish and allow it to dry fully between showers. This prevents the bar from sitting in water, which can soften it prematurely. A little care goes a long way in preserving the quality of each bar.
